Who we are
PixNip is made by LEGAL_NAME, CITY, Iceland (“we”), who is responsible for this policy.
The short version
PixNip doesn't collect, upload or sell your screenshots or personal data. All image processing happens on your Mac.
What stays on your Mac
- Screenshots, recordings and capture history are stored locally (in your chosen folder and in
~/Library/Application Support/PixNip). - Text recognition, sensitive-info redaction, background removal and translation use Apple's on-device frameworks.
- PixNip contains no analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs.
Network requests PixNip makes
- License activation and validation: when you enter a license key, PixNip sends the key and your Mac's name to Lemon Squeezy, our payment and licensing provider, and re-checks it about once a week.
- Update checks: PixNip periodically downloads an update feed. The request includes your app and macOS versions.
- Capture Web Page: when you use it, PixNip loads the page you entered, just like a browser.
- Your own workflow scripts: if you add a shell command to a workflow, it runs with your screenshot and can do whatever you wrote, including uploading it. PixNip never adds one on its own.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record. Their privacy policy covers payment and billing data: lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.
Your rights
We don't hold personal data about you beyond what Lemon Squeezy shares with us to deliver your license (your name, email and order). You can ask us for a copy of it, or to delete it, at the address below.
